Videsh: Indian Women From Abroad
"Videsh: Indian Women From Abroad: Indian and Indo-Caribbean women in the diaspora." brought together an assorted collection of narratives and visions which reflect the richness of the diverse Indian cultures and how they transcend the Indian subcontinent to around the planet. Blending their unique lived through contemporary and historical lenses, they explore themes including the complexities of heritage and identity, living and/or growing up overseas.“Videsh” is a tribute to Indian female artists of the diaspora, who have been historically excluded and underrepresented from the global art scene.
